Fairy Festival
Calling all young fairies. Come to the Hamilton Children’s Garden at San Diego Botanic Garden wearing your favorite costume. Fairy and garden-related flowery and glittery crafts will be offered for a small fee. In the morning, enjoy child-friendly live entertainment on stage. In the afternoon, San Diego favorite Hullabaloo will perform dance and sing-along music. Take a picture with the Fairy Princess. Leave your wish at the Wishing Bush. Build a Fairy House from a coconut shell and a variety of dried natural materials, shells, rocks, and a magic mushroom. Create an enchanted Fairy Dish Garden in a bamboo basket complete with succulent plant, stepping stones, wicker bench, shells, marble, pebbles, and a diamond. Decorate a Magic Tree made from a sola crepe ball and marble with sequins, small flowers, rhinestones, ribbon, glitter-tulle, and fairy dust to be placed in your Fairy Dish Garden or added to your Fairy House. Adorn a Fairy Baby Cradle made from a coconut shell with fabric flowers, coconut fiber, rhinestones, feathers, sequins, and glitter-tulle. Build a Fairy Bell Chime from a small wicker wreath, bells, colorful beads, mulberry paper flowers, and a tiny wooden ladybug.
