To help define the challenges and opportunities facing our region as it grapples with continuing population growth and limited natural resources, The San Diego History Center and University of California, San Diego Extension have partnered to bring nationally renowned landscape authority Charles A. Birnbaum, FASLA, FAAR, to San Diego for the final lecture in the History Center’s Centennial Lecture Series.
Charles A. Birnbau, is the founder and President of The Cultural Landscape Foundation. Prior to creating TCLF, Birnbaum spent 15 years as the coordinator of the National Park Service Historic Landscape Initiative and a decade in private practice in New York City with a focus on landscape preservation and urban design.
