LJS&C Choral Director David Chase leads a program that opens with 19-year-old violinist Annelle Gregory (2013 Young Artist Winner) performing Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto, considered one of the most difficult violin concertos ever written. Then chorus and orchestra, joined by soprano Priti Gandhi, tenor Edward Mout and the San Diego North Coast Singers youth choir, perform the West Coast premiere of Jonathon Dove’s grand cantata, There Was a Child, setting texts by English and American poets. Pre-concert lecture one hour prior to concert times.
