Akana Noto: The Tide Is High
301 Caspian Way, Imperial Beach, 91932
Cost: Free
Speaker Akana Noto, Tijuana River NERR graduate research fellow.
Did you know that salt marshes protect coastal areas from flooding and provide habitat for baby fish and endangered species? But more than 90% of California salt marshes have been destroyed.
Akana will discuss ongoing research aimed at understanding how predicted changes in sea levels and rainfall will affect salt marsh plants in California, particularly here in San Diego.
