The Anza-Borrego Desert Natural History Association in Borrego Springs announces “Desert Living 2015: Water and Energy” featuring experts in science and technology.

On the topic of water: Jay Famiglietti is a senior NASA and JPL water scientist and widely regarded as one of the top hydrologists in the world studying groundwater depletion using satellite imagery. Famiglietti appears frequently in the international media and speaks worldwide on the future of water resources. He will present two programs in Borrego Springs, one on groundwater reserves and the other on the geology of aquifers, the underground structures that hold that water.
