A concert exploring the shared roots of Islamic Hindu and Jewish music, dance, and poetry.
Common Chords celebrates the common roots of Muslim, Hindu and Jewish music, dance, and poetry. In addition to the concert, there will be an opening program performed by the Tifereth Israel Community Orchestra, poetry readings from different cultures and faiths by students and faculty, and the premiere of the new dance piece "Nineveh by way of Haifa," choreographed by John Malashock and performed by Malashock Dance to an original composition composed by Yale Strom.
