Citrus Tree Talk
The California Rare Fruit Growers of North San Diego County presents an event with David Karp in MiraCosta College's student center, room 3450.
Los Angeles Times writer and UC Riverside researcher David Karp will talk about the best citrus varieties to grow in the garden or small-scale orchard. His talk will include traditional varieties, lesser known cultivars, and varieties that have newly become available in the past decade.
He will also discuss some of the most interesting citrus varieties present at the Citrus Variety Collection but not yet available through nurseries, as well as how to legally and safely import citrus varieties to California, either through seeds or budwood.
