Women's Opportunity Conference
As part of its mission "to improve the lives of women and girls," Soroptimist International of La Mesa will present a Women’s Opportunity Conference.
The purpose of the conference is to provide information, inspiration, resources, and support for women who want to move beyond personal obstacles and improve their lives. The target audience is women who are trying to enter or renter the workforce, those who lack the education or training to improve their employment opportunities, and women who are trying to overcome personal challenges, such as abuse, poverty, limited education or job skills, lack of self-confidence, etc.
Open to women age 18 and over throughout San Diego County, the conference will offer workshops and seminars, panel presentations, and resource table clinics focusing on education and training opportunities, job searching techniques, personal finance, health, fitness, and other issues that get in the way of personal success. Attendees will also have the opportunity to apply for mini-grants to assist them in pursuing their education or training goals or to start a small business.
The event includes a continental breakfast, lunch, prize drawings, and a fashion show highlighting "The Art of Style: How to Dress for All Occasions."
Fee is $5 per person, which will be refunded when you check in at the conference.
