The San Diego early music vocal ensemble Pacific Camerata presents a program highlighting the illustrious Franco-Flemish tradition, beginning with a conductus by Perotin, written in 1200, and leading to the adventurous late 16th- Century harmonies of Orlando di Lasso. Featured will be selections from di Lasso’s “Matins for the Dead,” as well as the moving “Lament on the Death of Binchois,” by Binchois’ student, Johannes Ockeghem. Also on the program will be works by Josquin des Prez, Jacques Clement, Thomas Crequillon, and others.
