Notes to Our Sons and Daughters: My Sister's Voice
This multimedia exhibition and evening reception will feature 40 evocative portraits of women from diverse generations and cultures. Each photograph will be accompanied by a short video documentary and note, sharing a life lesson important enough to be passed on to the next generation, our sons and daughters.
Unique to this June 6 reception, the women photographed will attend, many coming from all corners of the globe: Bosnia-Herzegovina, India, Nigeria, Pakistan, and South Sudan.
The event benefits the Center for Community Solutions (CCS), a San Diego nonprofit that provides prevention and intervention services for violence and abuse. CCS assists more than 11,000 San Diegans each year and operates the only rape crisis center in the city of San Diego.
