Named one of the most authentic Japanese gardens outside of Japan, the Portland Japanese Garden is a 5.5-acre garden with a growing reputation as a center of Japanese culture and education.
With upcoming exhibitions by artists such as Isamu Noguchi, Shihoko Fukumoto, and Sueharu Fukami and plans for a new Kengo Kuma building, the garden looks forward to its future growth.
During this lecture, Diane Durston, the Garden's Arlene Schnitzer Curator of Culture, Art, and Education, will discuss the new vision and transformation taking place.
