On April 2, 2007, a 20-foot tsunami struck Ghizo Island in the Solomon Islands. This talk, by SDSU cultural anthropology instructor Savanna Schuermann, will compare the differing impacts, vulnerability, resilience, and recovery in two different but nearby villages on the island.
