Gondwana Dawn was conceptualized by Indian singer Sumitra Guha and Grammy Award winner Robin Hogarth to bring together the music of Africa and India in a way that celebrates the cultural and historical unit of
the two countries. The project is led by a humanitarian thought to bring opportunities to underprivileged children worldwide. This concert will cover ten songs from an album that has been released in the US by ARC Music, and UK in April this year.
The San Diego concert is the first concert of this tour in the U.S. This program includes the original eight children who sang in the album and the two teachers (one of whom sings with the choir). The age of the children range from 12 to 18.
