Film Screening with Local Chocolates

To commemorate the preservation of a rare 1929 industrial silent film showing early candy manufacturing in San Diego, the History Center will host a special screening featuring live musical accompaniment provided by Scott Paulson of the UC San Diego Library and The Teeny-Tiny Pit Orchestra. Guest speakers will include Roger Showley, grandson of the Showley Brothers Candy Factory founder, and Sean Savage, film archivist at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in Los Angeles. Local candy makers Biscuit Gourmet Biscotti, Sea Salt Candy, and So Rich Chocolates will also bring their own sweet creations to sample.
