The Alejandro Ziegler Tango Quartet
The Alejandro Ziegler Tango Quartet from Buenos Aires, Argentina is an ensemble of piano, violin, bandoneon, and double bass that has developed their own style of tango music, reflecting both innovation and tradition, becoming a new synthesis of the traditional tango orchestra. The Quartet performs classical tango in the style of famous orchestras like Trolio, Pugliese, Di Sarli, and Piazolla.
They will play at this benefit dinner to support the work of the Dancing After School Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to providing life-changing dance programs to youth throughout San Diego County. Using dance as a vehicle to inspire youth and provide a culturally relevant outlet, DAS has been able to make an extremely positive impact in communities where a tremendous need exists. Based in San Diego, sites are located from Vista to San Ysidro and provide meaningful dance fitness programs to more than 1300 students each week.
