Pacific Arts Movement quarterly screening presents Thermae Romae, the story of Lucius, an architect in ancient Rome who has fallen on tough times. During a trip to one of Rome’s legendary bathhouses, Lucius is magically transported to another bathhouse — in modern Japan. For Lucius, things in the land of Super Toilets and onsens are strange, to say the least. But that doesn’t stop him from stealing some modern ideas and bringing them back to Rome, where fortune awaits.
