Newly named as Artists-in-Residence, Camarada begins this new venture with Tango Nuevo (best of Piazzolla) music and dance, in the Mingei International Museum.
The Mingei will open its doors at 5pm for docent tours and a viewing of Make Your Own Kind of Music: The Art of Musical Instruments. San Diego’s Scott Paulson will demonstrate the theramin and let patrons try their hand at the instrument.
The concert will be introduced at 6pm by Mingei Director Rob Sidner in the Rotunda of the museum, lasting slightly under two hours with time for intermission.
