Hospice Volunteer Training
The Elizabeth Hospice seeks caring people to participate in the three-day Summer Volunteer Training. Bilingual volunteers, pet therapy volunteers, and military veterans are needed. Professional staff teach the classes, addressing issues such as the volunteer role in hospice care, working with non-verbal patients, cultural diversity, complementary therapies, and active listening. Graduates of this volunteer training will serve hospice patients and their family members that live in the graduate’s community. 760-737-2050.
