Background:

Tainted Society was formed in summer 2005 by singer/guitarist Tim Palmer and bassist Doug Eidsmoe, who say they wanted to reach "people who feel disenfranchised by the darker side of today’s society," according to Palmer. “From terrorism to corporate fraud to demented freaks gunning down our heroes, the world is a pretty messed-up place.”

Lead guitarist Patrick Shea is a Musicians Institute of Technology graduate. Drummer Sean Cravens joined the band as they began recording their first EP, Bound for Hell. The band has twice scored the "Hard Rock Track of the Day" at GarageBand.com (November 8, 2005, with “Your Friend” and then April 3, 2007, with “Back Off”).
