Background:
Mississippi Mudsharks' drummer Tom Essa's new band, Slim Crowbar and the I.O.U.s, features Essa on drums and vocals and Scottie Mad Dog Blinn holding down the bass and singing with Joey Harris. Essa calls the music "Tow-Truck Americana."
Reminiscent of Country Dick Montana's super side-group, the Incredible Hayseeds, the Crowbars play wildly broken country and bone crushing western, with a little blues and something tender thrown in for good measure.
