Background:

"No one takes San Diego [rappers] seriously," says Nasty O of Sky Tower Click. "People [outside of SD] think San Diego rap revolves around gangsters. Many rap artists in San Diego are gang-related.... Club owners are afraid of someone getting shot or stabbed. It makes it hard for musicians who make real music."

Nasty O says Sky Tower Click is not a typical SD rap group. "Two of us are black and two are Hispanic. We're from Southeast and the South Bay, two areas that usually don't get along."
