Synoposis

Background:

Drummer Russell Bizzett was born in Sioux City before moving to San Diego. He already had a long and storied career, having rose to prominence the mid-1970s, when he toured and recorded with rock music legend Tommy Bolin, (Deep Purple, James Gang), as well as Jose Feliciano, Louisa West with Jimmy Patton and Friends, and others.

Along the way, he studied with the legendary jazz drummers Roy Haynes and Billy Higgins. In 2011,he released a full-length, Dream Street. His debut as a leader is a very strong effort utilizing the local talents of pianist Joshua White and veteran San Diego bassist Rob Thorsen.
