Background:

Formed in Autumn 2010, Northern Tigers were initially staffed by guitarist/keyboardist Aldo Bustos (the Sess, Ale Mania, Beaters), singer/guitarist Sam Rivera (the Sess), and bassist Frank Mindingall (Beaters, the Atoms/Watusis).

Rivera’s cousin Andrew Montoya (the Sess, Ale Mania) was the band’s first drummer. Though he left the group in 2011, he remains associated with them, having recorded them in his University Heights studio. As of 2012, the band’s drummer is Joey Ugalde (the Atoms/Watusis).
