Background:

The New Standard Jazz Trio was formed in 2003 to help stimulate an interest in the standard jazz repertoire in San Diego. John Reynolds (trumpet), Jon Garner (guitar), and Justin Grinnell (bass) are all graduates of the Master of Music program at San Diego State University.
