Background:

Misdelphia was founded in 2006 by Jordan Wark (vocals) and Brian Zanini (bass) as an acoustic two-man band. Late that year, Kevin Childs was added on guitar, with drummer Derek Hudson joining a few weeks later. Childs convinced the band to add another guitarist, Ori Rendler, with whom he'd played in another band.

According to the band's MySpace page, "The name Misdelphia was created by vocalist Jordan Wark. He recalls being on tour with his former band and witnessing storage trains traveling across the Midwestern states. On the side of the train was a series of graffiti and art pieces with the words 'Mrs. Delphia' included in a group [of] the clustered graffiti."
