Synoposis

Background:

Michael Armstrong was still in high school while serving as principle trombonist for San Diego Youth Symphony’s Philharmonic and Symphony Orchestra, as well as playing with its Jazz Band and its Brass Ensemble.

A tenth grader in 2011, Armstrong plays in the Bishop’s School Jazz Band. He beat 1,500 applicants to earn a slot playing with the 54th annual California High School All-State Honor Concert Band, organized by the California Band Directors Association.
