Synoposis

Background:

14 years-old in 2011, Pin-Cheng (Leonard) Chen joined the San Diego Youth Symphony and Conservatory in 2006, studying violin with faculty staffer John Ramirez. A student at Torrey Pines High School, he also serves as Concertmaster for the group Sinfonia.

Chen won the 2011 Wind Symphony and Sinfonia Concerto Competition. In addition to winning a music studies scholarship, he performed for the San Diego Symphony’s Spring Showcase Concert at Copley Symphony Hall on June 11, 2011.
