Background:
Flight Path plays contra dance music from various genres, primarily oldtime world music and Celtic folk songs. These are mostly traditional tunes, although some recently composed tunes are included as well. Arrangements draw inspiration from many sources (which should not, however, be held accountable for the results). The band's name is a reference to the sonic ambience of its practice location, under the approach to San Diego's Lindburgh Field.
Kellyn plays a fiddle which was once played by her mother at the National Oldtime Fiddlers' Contest in Weiser, Idaho.
