Background:
The Eric Evans Project performs original pop/smooth jazz music. Frontman Evans (formerly of rock bands Mutt and West) plays flute, alto flute, EWI, (an electronic woodwind instrument) and alto sax.
The band’s debut album Waves of Grace was released in 2010. “I really aimed to stretch myself and my sound across a larger latitudinal line,” says Evans. “I feel the influences and ideas of several gifted musicians make this record shine.”
By July 2010, Evans hit number one on the jazz charts at ReverbNation for San Diego, as well as being cited a Recomended Artist Favorite by legendary flautist Tim Weisberg on HIS ReverbNation page.
