The Dixie Express Jazz Band was formed in San Diego in June 2000 by a group of musicians participating in the America's Finest City Dixieland Jazz Society's workshops and jazz camps. The band specializes in traditional and Dixieland jazz, blues, ragtime, swing, and crossover tunes.
