Fronted by La Mesa native Steve Burns (a sign painter at Burnsville Sign Works by trade), Burnsville Blues mixes tempos and styles that are appreciated by dancers, modern music lovers, and blues aficionados.
Burns began playing guitar at age eleven, though he wasn’t actively pursuing a music career until after marrying his wife Nelly in 2006, taking a Blues Cruise, and sitting in with the bands. Inspired to form the Burnsville Blues Band, their 2010 album Give Me a Job was nominated Best Blues CD at the San Diego Music Awards.
