Background:
Based in Pacific Beach, Bakkuda is a four piece electronic pop-rock band formed in 2008 by lead singer Alex Wood and manager-producer, Robert Anthony Hubbell. Bakkuda is a Korean word meaning “to change.” According to the band, “We believe that music is a powerful force that can cross language barriers, races, cultures, genders, and beliefs. It is the universal language, and we want to use that as a way to speak to the world.”
As of 2013, the band consists of vocalist/composer Alex Wood and contributing studio/live musicians.
Bakkuda's musical style varies from heavy guitar and synth-driven rock, to sweet pop melodies, to electro dance jams.
