Volcan Mountain Foundation presents a collection of 24 films that speak to environmental concerns and celebrate the beauty of nature. Friday night features A Fierce Green Fire, by Mark Kitchell, the first big-picture exploration of the environmental movement — grassroots and global activism spanning the past 50 years. Saturday and Sunday’s film screenings will include live music preceding each two-hour film session. A special screening of films by local filmmakers will be shown each day during the 90-minute lunch break. $5–$60.

This special after-hours event gives guests the opportunity to meet Buzz Aldrin, who, together with Neil Armstrong, became one of the first people to land on the moon on the Apollo 11 lunar mission. Aldrin and co-author Leonard David will be signing their new book Mission to Mars: My Vision for Space Exploration. Copies of Aldrin’s children’s book, Look to the Stars, is also available for purchase. Advance ticket purchase required. Only books purchased online through the museum will be signed. $29.
