Todd Gloria erased comments from constituents critical of Plaza de Panama and here is proof

Council member Todd Gloria was elected to represent District Three constituents -- all of them -- not just the ones who agree with his decisions, but Todd continues to censor comments to paint a false view of public opinion on his Council Facebook page. He has been trying to paint support for Plaza de Panama as 50/50. Nothing could be further from the truth. In fact almost all the supporters of the Jacobs plan are people that could financially benefit from it.

And the sheer number of citizens that flooded the chambers on Monday for the hearing to oppose the plan showed massive opposition and little support. Citizens are outraged that the aggressive plan will destroy Balboa Park's National Landmark District Status thus opening the door to all sorts of exploitation by special interests. So Monday night after comments began flooding Todd's page from an outraged community I printed a pdf knowing he would erase most of the criticism to paint this false narrative. So with no further ado, here is the proof. This was printed Monday night around midnight.

The second was printed Wednesday night but you can also just go to his Facebook page (if you haven't been blocked yet) and see for yourself. Gloria also erased most of the comments from his "doing my homework" status update on Sunday night -- very well written comments describing why Plaza de Panama was a devastating plan. Comments that people clearly spent a long time writing and were filled with extremely helpful information about the implications of the plan. Facebook could be an amazing tool to facilitate community dialogue about issues, but unfortunately Todd is making sure that dialogue is one-sided.

It's also extremely symbolic and proves Todd is all about image. He just wants to create a certain image of the issue so he can vote for his special interests and make constituents think that he is at least representing half of them. It's also ironic considering he's a proponent of the No on H8 campaign which employs the image of a person's mouth covered in duct dape. So Todd's recent plea in the SDGLN to please understand his decision seems extremely disingenuous in light of this duplicity and censorship of public input. If Todd cared about the public he would not silence their voices when they disagree with him.
