Escape the Tape -- An Airline Horror Story

I haven't heard more about this guy that was all over the local news a few weeks back.

He was on a flight from San Diego to Denver. And, Ezra, the 29-year-old, was arrested by FBI agents and charged with assault. And, here's what this guy did.

Two sisters were in his row, and he took pictures of the 9-year-old girl. She tried covering her face to block the photos. He then grabbed the hands of the 16-year-old sister, and bound them tightly with athletic tape. The girls were scared, freaked out, and the stewardess (oh wait...flight attendant), did what any great flight attendant would, helped the girl escape the tape. And then, she let the girls move to another seat.

And what did they do to this guy? Oh, nothing.

He was able to leave the plane, even though he told the stewardess (she's back to being called that, for letting the guy leave) he had just finished a bottle of vodka before boarding the plane, and was just having some fun.

The FBI, and the girls, didn't see it that way.

Now, what made me so angry is...if I have to stand there with my shoes off for hours, I'm not going to complain. We had this 9/11 thing, and security is tight. I get it. But, when you then let someone leave that is taking pictures of little girls, and tying hands together, we got a problem.

Oh, and speaking of shoes...there was a story somewhere in San Diego, and I completely forgot all the details. But, it said a big guy robbed someone of their wallet, and also their shoes.

The story didn't say, though, if they were some really expensive, nice shoes. Or, did the thief do it so he couldn't be followed.

I did wish the newspaper writer, when the criminal was described with his height, weight, race, approximate age...would've loved to have seen "And possibly wearing size 12 Pumas."
