I'll probably see it anyway, just to hear Liam Neeson yell at God.

Declaration of War fares even worse: "This soaper could be A Man and a Woman and a Cancer Kid. Seldom before has facile compassion seemed so much like a commercial for universal health care." Oooof.

And then our man has the gall to go tip-toeing through the Oscar nominations for Best Picture without picking a single one of 'em! At least he has the decency to trample one or two underfoot (hello, War Horse and Tree of Life).

Finally, some good news: he notes the opening of the San Diego Jewish Film Festival. Given that it's taking place all over San Diego and not just at its former home in La Jolla, I'd make some diaspora reference, but there have been enough terrible jokes for one post.
