Saved From Suicide
"I believe research has shown more suicides occur between September and April." Seems like the winter season is more depressing for many people especially those who don't have very many loved ones. I think also the holidays can drive people over the brink due to the fact that they've overspent on their credit cards. Like those investors who commit suicide after losing all their stocks in the 1930's market crash.— December 14, 2009 7:42 p.m.
Letters
"Certainly you won’t run into a T. Boone Pickens, Jeff Skilling, or Bill Gates on MTS or NCTD. However, try to remember that your fellow riders share one big trait with you — we’re all human beings! If you do not wish to talk to anybody, just ask them to let you be, but do it politely." I disagree with this attitude. Many times I have attended Microsoft meetings at the San Diego Convention Center when Bill Gates was still active in Microsoft. He used the trolley many times. I've seen him myself. I hope that Bill Gates supports MoveSanDiego.org because he has houses at Rancho Santa Fe.— December 12, 2009 9:42 a.m.
Cast Iron Calamity
Noah, did the water flood you out? I told you that Lemon Grove has better properties and safer locations.— December 12, 2009 8:56 a.m.
Lemon Power
Hey gates877, we have some happennings here in Lemon Grove. Did you check out the events here on Friday night? It was some party. Keep our community in your schedule and hope to see you here in the future. There are some great property deals here.— December 5, 2009 3:41 p.m.
Of Ball and Bus
We can see that there are riots or some other crazy activities in all types of events. It's not only football. My hubbie can attest to that because he gets rowdy at football games but he gets rowdy at parties, the beach and even at the library. You never know, there is a first time for everything under the sun.— December 5, 2009 3:23 p.m.
Saved from Fire
You mean when your "wife quit smoking", right? Not really "quite"! When I tried smoking in high school I got sick really bad. I guess that's a good thing. You should do a feature on heroes in San Diego and how they are doing. I wonder how bad their burns were. How's it going on the mass transit "rip offs"?— December 5, 2009 3:06 p.m.
Deadly Ramification
I almost got killed one day by a couple of cars racing on I-5 near La Jolla. Doesn't CHP have video cameras on the freeways to get the auto plates for the racing cars?— December 5, 2009 2:22 p.m.
Inconvenient Death
I feel sorry for bike riders in general since they don't have a chance when hitting something as big as a trolley. The cemetary setting is not a surprise. Condolences to the family of the bicylist.— November 25, 2009 4:12 p.m.
Bill Gates
Nice of Mr. Bill Gates to have a home in San Diego County. I hope he can help improve the area. I was pleasantly surprised to see him ride the MTS Trolley during one of the events that Microsoft held at the San Diego Convention Center. He is an all around good-guy and now that he is working full time at his Gates Foundation, he can help more people besides the ones that use high tech computers.— November 21, 2009 4:08 p.m.
Pardon Our Decibels
Yeah, we used to go often to the House of Blues. Now we just go somewhere else until they get done with all that racket. Hopefully they get done by the end of November so we can get back to schedule in December!— November 21, 2009 3:50 p.m.
