neighborhoods/hillcrest -- Hillcrest
Having lived in several neighborhoods since moving here in 1979, I have noticed that living in Hillcrest is one of the most dangerous for pedestrians. Crossing the streets on the Walk sign is a cautious situation at best. One could experience cars creeping around corners that one has the light to cross while one in still in the intersection. Crossing the street at a 4 Way Stop also does not guarantee that impatient drivers will not arbitrarily start driving forward while one is sill in the middle of the intersection. To be clear, this comment refers to daytime adventures, not night time when all ALL BETS ARE OFF due to the high level of partying in the "downtown area of Hillcrest."— March 20, 2013 11:11 a.m.
