The crosswalk cover-up on Canon Street
It's saddens me that people are hurt or killed when preventative action was not implemented. The city and its leaders need to make public safety its first priority. Trees blocking views in roads or crosswalks are dangerous....overgrowth of trees on Pescadero and Guizot in 92107 was reported on 11/30/16 on get it done and still no action by the city. One has to get half way into the street to see oncoming traffic down. Another hazardous condition that is ignored. Just one of many. SHAMEFUL!— March 1, 2017 9:44 a.m.
City workers' sa-weet O.B. Pier gig
Does anyone know if City workers are suppose to be smoking in City vehicles?— December 9, 2016 5:03 p.m.
City workers' sa-weet O.B. Pier gig
Great work and thank you for all your efforts. Don't give up on this one. If the Pier is doing this they should loose their lease and any city worker taking free stuff from anyone should be fired.— December 9, 2016 5:01 p.m.
This Chargers stadium proposal? Watch it.
Stop spending time and money on this goofy football team and owners. Maybe it's time to recall Faulconer!— May 18, 2015 8:39 p.m.
Open-door Airbnb in Burlingame
Yes, quarantine them to downtown or mission valley....let them spend a few dollars at Sea World, the Zoo and the Gaslamp, swim at the beach and then move on! Neighborhoods do not belong to tourists. Period! Tourists should "be nice" and stay out out of residential areas unless they want to become a full-time member of the community and pay taxes, pay to for the high cost of living here and keep any eye out for intruders that are a danger. To Ms. Smith you should not have bought a house that was too big for your needs or that you could not afford and shame on your for being disrespectful of your neighbors.— May 8, 2015 6:09 p.m.
Bicycle trap
Local classes would keep the amount of vehicle traffic off the highway and streets. And Oceanside is not just a few minutes from San Diego! It's a haul and the price of gas is not cheap. The coalition should travel to other parts of the community and hold their classes at libraries or rec halls....no? That would decrease the amount of road traffic.— April 21, 2015 9:08 a.m.
Bicycle trap
I guess only the cyclists in Oceanside ride safe. What about classes in the rest of the city?— April 19, 2015 9:58 p.m.
Aguirre wants secure water supply, lower electric rates, infrastructure upgrade
I'd campaign for Mike because I believe he would fight for improving San Diego for the residents. I would support Donna Frye should she step up to the plate...she got this whole ball rolling to get rid of Filner and should continue to her fight. Otherwise we have little choice and HOPE!— September 1, 2013 7:04 a.m.
Mystery money
How about....before you can sit in a board meeting, you must file your financial disclosure which must be complete. Then sign a personal guarantee that it is in fact truthful and if found otherwise you agree to pay the city meaning the taxpayers of San Diego $1 Million. Then we meaning the taxpayers might believe what you say, otherwise it's all a crock of crack! No financial disclosure means that you shouldn't be on the board how simple is that?— July 2, 2009 7:56 a.m.
