“HUSTUSA” protests President Obama in Rancho Santa Fe

Said he wanted to avoid getting shot by liberals

With tea bags hanging from his hat, a man who calls himself “HUSTUSA” stood on the corner of Avenida de Acacias and La Granada in Rancho Santa Fe on the afternoon of November 9.

The Carlsbad resident was protesting President Obama with a sign that read, “I didn’t vote for this Obamanation.” Leaning up against a fence, two signs read, “Arrest Obama” and “Arrest Holder,” a reference to U.S. attorney general Eric Holder.

HUSTUSA said his name is an acronym for “help us save the USA.” He had been out on the corner since 11 a.m. and said he’d been at the same corner at least 20 time, usually standing there for about five hours. HUSTUSA said he decided on Rancho Santa Fe because there are a lot of conservatives there; and at other places he might get “shot at by liberals.”

The man claimed in 2011 he was on the FOX News’ O’Reilly Factor 30 times. He also claimed to have visited Washington, DC, four times and been to over 150 “Tea Parties” around the country, driving over 150,000 miles.

He said he once shook congressman Joe Wilson’s hand. Congressman Wilson is known for shouting, “You lie!” during the president’s 2009 speech to Congress on health care.

“They should build a Taj Mahal for that guy now,” said Hustusa.
