Any Elvis fans out there? A trip to the Elvis Honeymoon Hideaway in Palm Springs should be on your to-do list. Although Elvis did not own this house, he and Priscilla lived at 1350 Ladera Circle for a short time and honeymooned there in 1967. They were supposed to have been married there, but when the media caught wind of their impending wedding, they hurriedly flew to Las Vegas in Frank Sinatra’s private jet, to be married at the Aladdin Hotel.

The house, designed by architect Robert Alexander in 1962, is a prime example of mid-century modern architecture. It’s built on three circular, multilevel platforms and is often referred to as the “platter house.” George Jetson would certainly approve. The living room features a huge curved wall faced with a mosaic of native desert stone, topped by windows. A sixty-four-foot built-in sofa hugs the curved wall. Visitors enjoy being photographed on the bed in Elvis’s master bedroom.
