"We bounced Willie."

Hindquarter owner Joe Ellis says he has decided not to invite promoter Willie Carter back after a December 17 show at his restaurant on Miramar Road featuring D.I., American Made, and the Natives (all from L.A.) and local bands the Drapes, Wrecking Crew, and the Foods.

"They destroyed the bathroom," said Ellis about a hole in the wall and a dismounted door. "And then I came back at 3 a.m. and some of the guys took some bottles of liquor, and they were drinking them. We were more pissed at the guys for that."

And then there was the latest show, January 8, promoted by Sid Sellout.

"Doors were broken and the paper towel machine was ripped off the wall," said Ellis. "It's not becoming feasible. I only charge them [promoters] $500, and after all the damage, it's not worth it."

"The owner got bent over a bottle of liquor," said Carter about his last show at Hindquarter.

But Carter said he has found a new all-age venue at the Imperial Beach Sports Park. On February 5 the Skulls and 13 other bands appear noon to 10 p.m. at 426 Imperial Beach Boulevard, $10.
